On Sunday 11 November, 2018, The U3A Bayside Writers Group launched their Armistice Centenary commemorative website at the Hampton RSL. The group is led by Cheryl Threadgold and currently comprises 19 writers who meet monthly to share and workshop their written works in a creative and supportive environment.
If anyone epitomises the spirit and values of the U3A movement, it is Charlie, a 13 year member of U3A Whittlesea. He emigrated to Australia from Malta in 1967.
